Local Internet Service Provider Hyak is continually expanding access to fiber internet in the Siuslaw region. The fiber cable is buried underground and provides speeds of 1 GB and higher to homes and businesses where service is available. Fiber internet brings another internet service option to the region, in addition to cable, wireless, and satellite options. Hyak began work on fiber in 2018.
