Free Online Parent Groups Support Families of Preteens with Tools for Connection and Growth

Eugene, OR — The Oregon Social Learning Center is pleased to announce the return of its Parenting Healthy Preteens online parent groups this fall. These free, virtual groups are designed for caregivers of children ages 9 to 12 and offer a welcoming space to share experiences, build community, and learn practical strategies for navigating the preteen years.
Led by skilled facilitators, the groups focus on:
- Strengthening communication between caregivers and preteens
- Supporting emotional and behavioral development
- Building routines and tools that work for growing kids
- Connecting families to resources and support
- Taking care of yourself as a parent
Groups run from mid-October through mid-December, with both lunchtime and evening sessions available to fit into families’ busy schedules. Participants can earn up to $75 and be entered into drawings for additional prizes.
“These years can be full of change—for kids and for parents,” said a Parenting Healthy Preteens facilitator. “Our groups offer a space to connect, reflect, and learn together in a way that’s supportive and nonjudgmental.”
Registration is now open.
