Free Emergency Preparedness Workshop for Youth and Families April 10

Logo for Lane County Extension 4H with beaver, tree, and sunFamilies in the Florence area are invited to attend a fun and interactive Emergency Preparedness Workshop hosted by Lane County Extension 4-H. The event will take place on Friday, April 10th from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Siuslaw Public Library in the Bromley Room.

This free, hands-on workshop is designed to help youth and families build practical skills for emergency situations while having fun together. Participants will learn the basics of emergency preparedness, including how to plan ahead and stay safe during unexpected events.

As part of the experience, attendees will:

  • Create their own paracord bracelet, a useful tool in emergency situations.
  • Receive a free “go bag” filled to the brim with essential supplies and helpful resources.
  • Gain knowledge and confidence to be better prepared at home and in their community.

This workshop is ideal for youth of all ages and their families, offering a supportive and engaging environment to learn important life skills.

No registration is required—just come ready to learn and have fun.
