Are you passionate about gardening, enjoy helping others learn, and interested in becoming a Master Gardener volunteer?

The 2027 OSU Extension Service Master Gardener training program begins in late January on Thursday afternoons from 1 – 4 p.m., in Eugene. Carpooling from the Florence area is available. The training includes 40 hours of horticulture education covering topics such as soils, pest management, botany, and plant propagation. Volunteers contribute at least 40 hours in their first year, performing activities such as answering gardening questions in the Plant Clinic and staffing booths at local events.

Applications to the program will be accepted until November 15, 2026. Apply at https://extension.oregonstate.edu/mg/lane/become-master-gardener-volunteer
