Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels is available throughout Lane County and is provided by LCOG Senior & Disability Services (Senior Meals Program) in Florence.

Who May Be Eligible

  • Individuals who are 60 years of age or older and homebound by reason of injury, illness, or an incapacitating disability or be otherwise isolated, or
  • The spouse or disabled dependent child of any age who resides with a senior who is eligible under this criteria, if it is in the best interest of the homebound client, or
  • Individuals who are 60 years of age or older, and
    • Physically or mentally predominately unable to shop for or safely prepare meals to meet minimal nutrition requirements, or
    • Have an inadequate support system for food shopping or meal preparation, or
    • Are unable to tolerate a group situation due to physical or mental disability or substance abuse.

Persons under age 60 may be eligible if their Case Manager has authorized meals as part of their Medicaid Long-Term Care Service Plan or State Planned Personal Care.

To request Meals on Wheels Service in Springfield and rural Lane County, please call our Aging and Disability Resource Connection (ADRC) at 541-682-3353 or toll free 1-800-441-4038.

Meals are available as funding and our capacity to deliver meals allows. Funding for Meals on Wheels is partially funded by Lane County Intergovernmental Human Services Funds.
