Lane Alerts – Official Lane County Emergency Alerts (sign up required!)
Lane Alerts allows fire, police, and other emergency response agencies to issue alerts to residents in the event of severe weather, fire, flooding, hazardous materials, need for immediate evacuation, civil danger, local area emergencies, and missing persons.
In the event of an emergency, alerts will be delivered to you at the contact information you provided, including telephone, text messages, and email.
Emergency voice alerts sent from the County will come through as telephone number (541) 255-1577 on CallerID. You can dial that number if you would like to hear the last message repeated. Sign up at https://member.everbridge.net/337829242601799/new

Emergency Alert System (EAS)
No signup required. EAS alerts are broadcast over various media such as radio, television, cable television, satellite radio and satellite television when there is an emergency. Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA)
Wireless Emergency Alerts are messages sent to your mobile phone during an emergency. Sign-up is not required and no action needs to be taken other than enabling emergency alerts on your cell phone. Check your cell phone and make sure that Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) are turned ON. WEA are sent only during an emergency by authorized government alerting authorities. Types of alerts include extreme weather warnings, local emergencies requiring evacuation or immediate action, AMBER Alerts, and Presidential Alerts. You only receive WEA messages when your cell phone is in the area of the emergency. If you visit another city, you will only receive alerts for that location and not your hometown.
ShakeAlert (Oregon, Washington, California)
ShakeAlert is an earthquake early warning system managed by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) that detects and alerts people of earthquakes before the shaking starts. Sign-up is not required and no action needs to be taken other than enabling emergency alerts on your cell phone. Check your cell phone and make sure that Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) are turned ON. Mobile phones that have WEA turned on are able to receive ShakeAlert messages. NOAA Weather Radio All Hazards (NWR)

TripCheck is the Oregon Department of Transportation’s online portal that provides real-time information on Oregon road conditions, traffic incidents, congestion, closures, and traffic cameras to help travelers plan their routes safely and efficiently. The service also offers information on construction zones, winter travel updates, and even details for other transportation modes like air, bus, rail, and ride-share. Watch Duty is a service powered by over 150 volunteers – firefighters, dispatchers, and first responders – who diligently monitor radio scanners and other official sources 24 hours a day to send you the most up-to-date information.
There is a WatchDuty app you can download to your device, or you can use it via a web browser.
Oregon Hazards Lab Wildfire Cameras
The Oregon Hazards Lab operates a high-speed camera network that gives firefighters a new way to spot and track wildfires. Cameras are typically installed on top of tall mountains or high-rise buildings with 360-degree views of the surrounding landscape, enabling fire managers to watch the landscape, fire behavior, and weather in real-time or later through time-lapse footage. The Oregon Hazards Lab also has a suite of mobile deployment units, or portable camera kits that can be set up in response to new fires that spark outside the coverage area of our fixed camera network.

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program educates volunteers about disaster preparedness for the hazards that may occur where they live.
