FACC June 4, 2025 meeting features youth crisis nonprofit

The June 4, 2025 regular monthly meeting of FACC will feature Riverview Center for Growth and, more specifically, its Riverview Crisis Response Program. The meeting is from 10:45 to noon in the Bromley Room of the Siuslaw Public Library.
When our own Western Lane Crisis Response team needs help with youth, it is Riverview they call. Riverview (formerly known as “The Child Center) is a nonprofit organization with over 50 years of service. It was ranked 5th in the 100 Best Nonprofits to Work For in Oregon in 2024.
If you are able to come in person, you will have the opportunity to meet Julie Williamson, MA, Director of Crisis Services, Elise Gray, Crisis and ISS Supervisor, and Jazmin Bird, Development & Outreach Coordinator. You will learn about their child and adolescent crisis response program, situations that are considered a “crisis,” what to expect if you make a crisis call, who is able or required to consent to treatment, the extensive array of services they provide, and how, if a youth or family is not connected to mental services and is in need, Intensive Stabilization Services (ISS) are implemented to provide interim support until long-term services can be obtained. Their slideshow presentation will be emailed after the meeting to those who request it, but if you can come please do as there is no better opportunity to ask questions and learn from the questions that others ask too.
The business meeting following the presentation will include election of directors and officers for the 2025-2026 fiscal year and adoption of a budget.
Light refreshments are served and the public is welcome and encouraged to attend.
Questions may be directed to florenceareacc@gmail.com. A meeting link for virtual attendance will be posted on the FACC website at the Monday morning preceding the Wednesday meeting.
