Artists & Craftspeople Invited to Participate in Library’s Hang It All Community Art Show

Siuslaw Public Library District invites artists of all ages and abilities to submit a piece for our upcoming community art show, Hang It All. Everyone is encouraged to participate in this free show.
Hang It All will run for the month of October in the library’s Colgan-Bennett lobby gallery and display case.
All types of 2D and 3D media are accepted. Past shows have included ceramics, jewelry, woodworking, needlecraft, collage, photography, painting, quilting, sketching, and many other types of media. Be creative!
Work on any subject is welcome; this show is not themed. Two honors will be announced at the end of the month: the Bob Kutsch Award, chosen by the library’s art display committee; and the People’s Choice Award, based on public voting throughout the month.
Guidelines:
• Art must be dropped off at Siuslaw Public Library, 1460 9th Street, Florence, on Wednesday, October 1, 9-11 AM. Art must be picked up on Friday, October 31, 9-11 AM. (If you are unable to meet the time requirements, contact the library to inquire about other options.)
• 2D art such as paintings and photographs must be framed, wired, and ready to hang. (Sawtooth hangers are not compatible with the library’s hanging system and will not be accepted.) Works cannot exceed 38” in any direction.
• 3D art can be any medium. Works cannot exceed 24” high or wide or 12” deep.
