Library Book Sale Saturday-Sunday June 14-15

Huge book sale! Saturday, June 14th 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Sunday, June 15th 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., at the main branch of the Siuslaw Public Library, 1460 Ninth Street, Florence. Members of the Friends of the Library will be admitted between 9-10am on Saturday; memberships are available at the door. The sale is open to the public all remaining hours. On Sunday, from noon – 3 p.m., a paper grocery bag (supplied by the Friends) can be filled with books for only $3.
This Book Sale in the Bromley Room will be a great chance for readers to stock up for summer reading—at bargain prices. “We have many like-new hardcover books selling for only a dollar; most pocket paperbacks are only fifty cents!” said Annie Schmidt, President of the Friends of the Siuslaw Library. “The Friends’ volunteers have been hard at work sorting thousands of fiction and nonfiction books, children’s books, DVDs, and more for the big sale.”
Over 7,000 fiction and nonfiction books will be for sale, including Mystery, Romance, Biography, Art, Science, Westerns, Cookbooks, Travel, and more. Reusable canvas book bags can be purchased at the sale—then filled with books!
The Friends accept cash or checks. All proceeds go to support the Siuslaw Public Library and its programs. The Friends of the Siuslaw Public Library is a 501(c)(3)nonprofit organization. Please email SiuslawLibraryFriends@gmail.com with any questions.
