OSU Extension Hosted Successful Pruning Workshop in Florence

Lane County Master Gardeners and Oregon State University Extension Service hosted a successful pruning workshop in Florence on February 8, 2025. Twenty-five people braved the cold and rain to attend.
“We appreciate everyone who came out on Saturday to learn about pruning fruit trees, blueberries, and roses,” said Bart Mealer, Master Gardener volunteer. “There were lots of questions, and we’re happy to share additional information.”
Patty Driscoll, Master Gardener Pruning Specialist from Eugene, led the training. Three Master Gardeners now live in the Siuslaw region and are available to speak to local groups and offer gardening advice grounded in science.
