The Siuslaw Public Library District is holding an open house on Saturday, October 17, 2-4 PM, in the library’s great room. Join us to celebrate and learn more about this plan that will guide our library priorities for the next few years. Hear from Dr. Audrey Barbakoff virtually at the beginning of the Open House. Dr. Audrey Barbakoff is a librarian, educator, and entrepreneur. She holds a Doctor of Education from the University of Southern California and a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Washington. Library Director Meg Spencer will be reviewing what emerged from the planning process, discussing strategies, and inviting your questions.

The SLPD Strategic Plan (2026–2031) outlines a community-guided vision, core values, and five key strategies to guide the library’s development. Have questions about the plan and what’s next? SLPD staff and planning team members will be answering your questions.
